Revolutionary Greetings from the ANC to the family of Key Martin

Please pass the revolutionary greetings of the ANC and myself to the family of Key especially to Estella, Alejandro, Evelyn and Tamara at this time of their grief. This is a message to them.

Words cannot express our sorrow at the loss of such a revolutionary and a fighter for a better world. While you may not know us, our lives and those of many of our people in South Africa have been touched in very significant ways by this comrade. At the time of his death he was doing some work for us on the life and death of our beloved cde Chris Hani. We in the ANC/SACP/COSATU knew him as one of our own. We were strengthened by his revolutionary zeal, his dedication and commitment spurred all of us on. While you will never be with him again, we hope you will be comforted by the fact that he had given his life for the cause. I hope you will all be able to say that he lived his life in such a a way that dying he will say 'I lived my life'. We think he lived the life of a revolutionary and there are very few cadres of his calibre. Your loss is our loss. Today, we dip our flags in his memory.

All the love and solidarity from the ANC and its allies.

Amandla! Thenjiwe.
